Relax and enjoy your home pick up by private car. Transfer to the airport to meet your fellow travellers and board your flight to Santiago. On arrival we transfer to our hotel.

DAY 2 - santiago B / L

Today we enjoy a half-day historical tour of Santiago followed by lunch at a local restaurant. The afternoon is at your leisure.

DAY 4 - santiago > lima b / d

This morning we fly to Lima, the capital of Peru. Lima was the chief city of Spanish South America from its founding in 1535 by Francisco Pizarro, until the independence of the South American republics in the early 19th century. Lima was the most important city in South America for three centuries. The city boasts beautiful colonial architecture with ornate wooden balconies and historic churches in all their splendor of days gone by.

DAY 5 - lima B / l

Today we enjoy a half-day tour of Lima, known as the “City of the Kings”. Visit the Plaza de Armas to see the ornate Church of San Francisco, the Presidential Palace, the Cathedral and City Hall. We will then visit the Gold Museum with its extraordinary variety of gold artifacts from the civilizations of Paracas, Chavin Nazca, Moche, Wari, Lambayeque and Chimu to Inca. The remainder of the day is at leisure.

DAY 6 - lima > cuzco B / d

This morning we fly to Cuzco which is the archaeological capital of the Americas and the oldest continually inhabited city on the continent. Most of the city streets are crowded with Quechua speaking descendants of the Incas. The city also has magnificent repositories of colonial art such as the Cathedral and La Merced Church. There is also the Coricancha ruins, east of the city centre, which were formerly covered with gold and the Museo de Arqueologia, the interior is filled with metal and gold work, jewellery, pottery, textiles
and mummies.

DAY 7 - cuzco B / d

After breakfast we embark on a half day tour to discover the magic of Cuzco city and its surrounding ruins.

DAY 8 - cuzco > yucay B / l

Travel by road into the Urubamba Valley to visit the interesting Indian town of Pisac and its famous market. You will be enchanted by the colourful Indian ladies selling their homespun goods. A stop will be made at Ollantaytambo, another well - preserved Inca fortress including a palace, temple and observatory. Following lunch at a local restaurant we continue on to Yucay for our overnight stay

DAY 8 - quebec sightseeing B

Join a local guide to experience Quebec's unique European charm: the Latin Quarter, Plains of Abraham, ramparts, National Assembly, Basilica, City Hall, Place Royale and Citadel. Venture north to visit the shrine of Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupre, the first pilgrimage shrine in North America and the Montmorency Falls before returning to your hotel.

DAY 9 - yucay > machu picchu B / l / d

Today we travel by train through the mountains and jungle to the mysterious ruins of Machu Picchu. Never found by the invading Spaniard Conquistadores, Machu Picchu called the “Lost City of the Incas” is in comparatively good state of preservation. It consists of an enormous city hidden on a spectacular green mountain plateau surrounded by three towering peaks and remains today as a monument to the Incas.

DAY 10 - machu picchu > cuzco B / d

This morning you will have some free time to return to the ruins before we transfer back to Cuzco by train.

DAY 11 - cuzco > puno B / l

Today you will leave Cuzco, travelling across the Altiplano by coach to Puno on the shores of Lake Titicaca, the highest navigable lake in the world. Enjoy the incredible view of the herds of alpaca and llamas grazing on these highland pampas, interspersed with small villages, and the majestic backdrop of the Andes.

DAY 12 - puno > lake titicaca B / l / d

Today we board a luxury Catamaran for our overnight cruise on Lake Titicaca. We sail to Sun Island, the legendary birthplace of the Inca Empire, visit the Inca Garden, Inca Steps and Fountain. We then sail to Sun Island’s isolated Challapampa village and interact with one of the most unspoiled indigenous Thicaca villages.

Overnight: On board catamaran.

DAY 13 - lake titicaca > la Paz B / d

This morning we continue sailing through the Tiquina Straight. Return to land and continue by road to La Paz. Enjoy dinner this evening at the Hotel.

Hotel: 2 nights at the Radisson Bolivia Hotel.

DAY 14 - la paz B / l

Our half day tour of La Paz visits a typical Indian Market, the famous Witch Doctor’s Market rich in handicrafts and weavings, and witchcraft artifacts that represent the traditional beliefs of the Challa and Pachamama. Leaving La Paz, we enter into the Valley of the Moon with all of its natural geological formations. We return to the hotel with the remainder of the day at leisure.

DAY 15 - la paz > buenos aires B / d

This morning we fly to Buenos Aires, the capital of Argentina. Upon arrival we transfer to our hotel, home for the next 3-nights. Enjoy dinner this evening is at the hotel.

Hotel: 3 nights at the Pestana Hotel.

DAY 16 - buenos aires B / D

This morning’s tour will introduce you to the city known as the “Paris of the Americas”. This evening, enjoy dinner and a Tango Show.

DAY 17 - buenos aires free day B / d

Today is a full day at leisure to enjoy this exciting city on your own.

DAY 18 - buenos aires > iguassu falls B /d

Today we fly to Iguassu. Upon arrival in Iguassu we transfer to our hotel where we will spend the following 2-nights. En-route we will visit the Argentine side of the falls.

Hotel: 2 nights at the Hotel Tropical Das Cataratas.

DAY 19 - iguassu falls B /d

Today enjoy a tour of the Brazilian side of the falls. The Brazilian side offers the best panoramas, enjoy their beauty as you follow the trails along the river rims edge. There are many vantage points along the trail for photo opportunities. Dinner this evening will be at the Hotel.

DAY 20 - iguassu falls > rio de janeiro B /d

Today we fly to Rio De Janeiro – the capital of nightlife. Upon arrival in Rio de Janeiro we are transferred to our hotel where we will spend the following 3 nights. The remainder of the day is free.

Hotel: 3 nights at the Excelsior Copacabana.

DAY 21 - rio de janeiro B /d

This morning we are taken on a tour to Mount Corcovado. We drive through different districts and arrive at Cosme Velho Station for a cog-wheel tram ride to the top of Corcovado Mountain to visit one of Rio’s famous landmarks, the 125 foot high Statue of Christ the Redeemer. This evening enjoy a typical barbecue dinner, followed by all the sights and sounds of a typical Brazilian Samba Show.

DAY 22 - rio de janeiro B /d

After breakfast we enjoy a half-day city tour and a thrilling ride to the top of Sugar Loaf Mountain by cable car for a breathtaking view almost 1200 feet above Guanabara Bay. Farewell Lunch will be enjoyed at a local restaurant. We return to your hotel with the rest of the day at leisure.

DAY 23 - depart rio de janeiro B / ifm

Today will be spent at leisure until we transfer to the airport for our flight through Santiago back to Australia.

DAY 24 & 25 - cross date line > home ifm

On arrival in Perth, your driver will be waiting to transfer you home ending a truly South American experience.
