DaY 1 -Perth > cairns ifm / D

Relax and enjoy your home pick up by private car. Transfer to the airport to meet your fellow travellers and board your flight to Cairns. On arrival we transfer to our central hotel and enjoy a welcome dinner.

DAY 2 - sights > cruise B / L / d

This morning we depart for our city sights tour; highlights include the Casino, Cairns Central Mall, the navy Patrol Base – HMAS Cairns and shipyards, Sugar Terminal and Flecker Botanical Gardens. Stroll the botanical gardens before arriving at Blue Sky Brewery for lunch and a tasting. Afterwards we board the Crocodile Explorer and cruise the Trinity Inlet.

DAY 3 - kuranda scenic rail B / L / D

This morning we transfer to the railway station to board the famous Kuranda Scenic Rail. This breathtaking journey on one of the world’s most scenic train routes will take you high through hand-hewn tunnels and across bridges with amazing views. Enjoy free time in Kuranda to wander through the village and visit the Australian Butterfly Sanctuary. We transfer to the Rainforestation Nature Park; an award-winning attraction and cruise on board the Army Duck. A delicious hot buffet BBQ is for lunch today. Afterwards we visit the Koala and Wildlife Park before riding the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway back to Cairns.

DAY 4 - free day B

Today you have at leisure to explore Cairns on your own. For those wishing to visit the Great Barrier Reef, we can arrange this for you at your own expense.

DAY 5 - atherton tablelands and outback tour B / l / d

We venture south of Cairns through Gordonvale then into the Tablelands to enjoy a Devonshire Morning Tea cruise on Lake Barrine, a freshwater lake in a volcanic crater. We continue to Millaa Millaa Falls, an unforgettable photo opportunity and Curtain Fig Tree, one of the largest strangler figs in the world. Experience the real Australian Outback with a BBQ lunch and exclusive guided tour of Woodleigh Cattle Station. In the afternoon we visit the Mt Uncle Distillery and Plantation before returning to Cairns via the scenic Kurunda Range.

DAY 6 - cape tribulation and daintree B / L / D

After breakfast, we travel to where World Heritage Rainforest meets the Great Barrier Reef. We visit Mossman Gorge and cross a cable driven ferry to Cape Tribulation where we will enjoy a tropical buffet lunch. Visit Cape Tribulation Beach and Alexandra Lookout, followed by a Daintree River Cruise. Afternoon tea is served before we head back to Cairns.

DAY 7 - sugar museum and paronella park B / l / D

We depart for Paronella Park this morning; a historic Spanish influenced castle and gardens which took over 6 years to build and construct. We then visit the township of Innisfail – mass producers of grain, potatoes, mangoes, avocados and dairy products. Afterwards we stop at the Australian Sugar Museum, Mamu and Babinda. We arrive back to the hotel late afternoon and enjoy dinner as a group for one last time.

DAY 8 - cairns > Perth B / ifm

After breakfast, we depart Cairns for our flight to Perth. On arrival, your driver will be waiting to take you safely home concluding your wonderful holiday to Tropical North Queensland.
