DaY 1 -Perth ADELAIDE IFM / D

Relax and enjoy your home pick up by private car. Transfer to the airport to meet your fellow travellers and board your flight to Adelaide. On arrival we transfer to our hotel. Tonight enjoy a Welcome Dinner with the group.

DAY 2 - MURRY PRINCESS B / L / D

We travel east to Mt Lofty for a look at the gardens. Continue to Gumeracha and visit ‘The Rocking Horse’ and Toy Factory. Arrive in Mannum mid afternoon and board the PS Murray Princess. Head downriver while you enjoy pre-dinner drinks and a Welcome Dinner.

DAY 3 - MURRAY RIVER CUP B / L / D

In 1879 the first bridge to span the Murray River was built at Edwards Crossing, which quickly became the bustling township of Murray Bridge. After breakfast, join a guided tour of the town’s historic landmarks and attractions. This afternoon we begin our journey upriver, with a special presentation on the bounty of food and wine produced in the river lands. Tonight enjoy the fun and excitement of the Murray River Cup.

DAY 4 - CLIFFS, GORGES AND WILDLIFE B / L / D

All ashore for a guided nature walk where your guide will share the secrets of the local flora and fauna. We then head into the big river gorges and 90 metre cliffs of the upper river. Later we board a discovery vessel for a backwater wildlife tour in the Dragon Fly. The birdlife is amazing. Tonight enjoy the Captain’s Dinner and Dance.

DAY 5 - BAROSSA VALLEY B / L / D

After breakfast, PS Murray Princess arrives at Mannum where you will board the coach tour to the famous Barossa Valley, the beautiful ‘Valley of the Vine’. You will visit three premium wineries and enjoy lunch.

DAY 6 - BURK SALTER'S VINEYARD B / L / D

At daybreak you have time to spot the prolific birdlife includes pelicans, blue wrens and black swans. Enjoy a leisurely morning and lunch cruising upriver to Big Bend. This afternoon visit Burk Salter’s vineyard on the banks of the river and enjoy wine tasting at the cellar door. Rejoin the Murray Princess at Swan Reach and cruise upriver to our overnight anchorage. Tonight is fancy dress night on board (Bring your own). We also have our famous musical quiz.

DAY 7 - AUSSIE BBQ B / L / D

After breakfast we cruise upriver to Swan Reach and join the guided walking tour and visit the Museum. Cruise downriver after lunch to Sunnydale then all ashore for the Woolshed Sound & Light Show as we recreate typical Australian woolshed history. Later we visit the Native Wildlife Shelter where some of South Australia’s most interesting native animals are cared for. And then, of course, there is the great Aussie Barbecue – cooked and served in a bush setting on the banks of the mighty Murray River.

DAY 8 - NGAUT NGAUT / CAPTAIN'S DINNER B / L / D

This morning the ship cruises slowly downstream past magnificent cliffs scoured by the river over millions of years. We reach Ngaut Ngaut Aboriginal Reserve, one of Australia’s most significant archaeological sites for a guided boardwalk to view ancient rock carvings and to learn about Aboriginal history. We return to the ship to cruise downriver to Younghusband. Tonight the Captain and his officers host a spectacular Farewell Captain’s Buffet. Dress up and dance, if you wish.
