Launched in 2006, the MS Sound of Music offers a world class cruising experience. To ensure absolute comfort, the ships travels with only 128 passengers, that’s 32 less than capacity – giving you greater space. This boutique ship is a perfect size to dock in the heart of cities and towns ensuring you’ll enjoy the central ports. Another highlight of this vessel is the huge Wellness and Spa area including Turkish Bath with steam room, massage and beauty parlour.

DAY 1 - PERTH to SINGAPORE

Relax and enjoy our home pick-up service by private car and transfer to the airport. Meet your fellow travellers and board your flight to Singapore. On arrival we are transferred to the hotel for our overnight stay.

DAY 2 & 3 - SINGAPORE TO budapest - EMBARK SHIP

After breakfast, enjoy the day at leisure or take an optional tour (own expense). Tonight we are transferred to the airport for our overnight flight to Budapest via Frankfurt. On arrival we are transferred to the ship, the ms Sound of Music. Time to settle in before enjoying the Captain’s Gala Welcome Dinner.

DAY 4 - BUDAPEST SIGHTSEEING

Following breakfast, join a sightseeing tour of Budapest. Visit 500 year-old Matthias Church, St Stephen’s Basilica, the distinctive Fisherman’s Bastion, the marvellous Royal Palace and historic Buda Castle, where you have views of Buda and Pest over both banks of the river.

DAY 5 - BRATISLAVA

Relax this morning as you cruise to Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia. Upon arrival, disembark and join a walking tour through this intriguing city. This evening, enjoy dinner and an evening music performance as you cruise to Vienna.

DAY 6 - VIENNA

Today take a guided tour of Vienna, including St Stephen’s Cathedral, Hofburg Imperial Palace, and more. After free time, perhaps join us tonight for an optional Mozart and Strauss concert.

DAY 7 - DURNSTEIN, MELK

This morning reach the Wachau Valley and stop in Durnstein for a tour. At lunch, continue to Melk for a tour of Melk’s Benedictine Abbey, one of the world’s most famous monastic sites. Later, sample some of the delights of the Wachau Valley with a wine tasting.

DAY 8 - LINZ, PASSAU

Cruise past Linz and on to Passau. Here, you will disembark for a tour of this historic city, situated on the Austrian border at the confluence of the Danube, the Inn, and the Ilz rivers.

DAY 9 - REGENSBURG
BLD

Arrive in Regensburg, where a guided tour of the city’s architectural highlights includes the Old Town Hall and the Porta Pretoria – gates to an ancient Roman fort built in 179 AD. Tonight, folklore entertainers perform on board.

DAY 10 - NUREMBERG

Nuremberg played a pivotal role for the Nazi Party during World War II and acted as the symbolic host of the Nuremberg Trials. Today, visit a number of Nuremberg’s World War II sites on a guided tour.

DAY 11 - BAMBERG
BLD

Today, you’ll disembark the ship just outside of Bamberg and travel by coach into this enchanting town. As one of the few cities in Germany that wasn’t destroyed by bombs during World War II, Bamberg was declared a World Heritage-listed site in 1993. Here, take a tour of the city’s serpentine streets, then enjoy time to shop or explore before continuing your cruise.

DAY 12 - WURZBURG

After breakfast, arrive in Wurzburg and disembark for a tour. Then enjoy free time to explore, or perhaps take an optional excursion to Rothenburg.

DAY 13 - MILTENBURG, WERTHEIM
BLD

Arrive in Miltenberg and travel by coach to Wertheim. Known for its glassworks, Franconian wine and friendly people, enjoy free time to explore. Return to Miltenberg for a tour of this lovely Franconian town, then re-board the ship and watch a glass-blowing performance as you cruise through the valleys of the Main River.

DAY 14 - RUDESHEIM TO KOBLENZ

Today arrive in Rudesheim, where a mini-train will take you to Siegfried’s Mechanical Music Instrument Museum for a tour. Later, cruise through the Rhine Gorge on perhaps the most beautiful stretch of the Rhine. Cruise past castles and castle ruins, as well as Lorelei Rock.

DAY 15 - KOBLENZ TO COLOGNE

This morning enjoy a walking tour of Koblenz, located at the confluence of the Rhine and the Moselle rivers. The cultural monuments, historic buildings, narrow alleyways and relaxed atmosphere of its squares make Koblenz a very welcoming destination. Continue cruising to Cologne where, after dinner, you’ll take an evening walk through the city.

DAY 16 - COLOGNE TO AMSTERDAM

Arrive in Amsterdam and join a canal boat cruise. Sailing in a glass-top boat, admire 17th century homes, charming churches and 16th century merchant houses. Return to your ship for the Captain’s Gala Farewell Dinner this evening.

DAY 17 & 18 - AMSTERDAM TO PERTH

After breakfast today, disembark the ship and transfer to the airport for your journey home. (For those who choose to extend your stay to Paris or other parts of the world, you will continue from here). On arrival in Perth your driver will be waiting to transfer you home ending a magnificent European holiday.
