Manager's Note

It's been an exciting start to our 25th year.

In March we had 95 people over 3 groups travel to New Zealand and whilst they weren't there when the earthquake struck, last minute arrangements were made to the itineraries in the affected area which was a huge job for Grand Pacific Tours. New Zealand is a beautiful country with so much to offer and amazingly the city of Christchurch is re-opening in October 2011. They are working hard at getting everything back on track. We are supporting New Zealand as much as possible and you will see a few holidays to New Zealand in this brochure edition.

Mid-March Kings celebrated in style with a private party with friends and family to celebrate our 25 years, Bob Page and Rae Pearce's retirement. I know we have some clients who don't believe Rae will ever retire and in fact we were fortunate enough to have her on-board this May for our Andre Tours however it really is official. Bob got a huge surprise when the Channel 7 news team recorded a personal retirement message thanking him for servicing the WA public and providing holidays to seniors. It was a great night enjoyed by all.

April was a huge success with groups travelling to South Africa, Norfolk Island, the Murray Princess and within WA. I have just seen off our first two Andre Rieu concert tours and I understand from our clients that his concert was spectacular and he is very much the showman…and apparently quite cheeky. With our "Win a day with Andre' promotion, we had some very fortunate clients that went to a pre-concert dinner, sound check and then after the show actually met Andre and had their photo taken with him. Overall 10 of our clients are having this opportunity bringing an extra spark to their tour.

In this brochure edition you will see some exciting new tours and some old favourites that have had such success and enjoyment over the years we are repeating them for next year. We work very hard with our ground operators and staff to bring you wonderful holiday experiences and I personally oversee every detail of our tours to ensure that all of our departures run as smoothly as possible.
