  • DAY 6: CRUISE / BERGEN

    B L D

Bergen is called the "Gateway to the Fjords," as it is a great launching point for a tour of nature's Hardangerfjord, Sognefjord and Geirangerfjord. This city has a wonderful mix of architectural styles that add to its 18th-century charm. And as birthplace of virtuoso violinist Ole Bull and pianist Edvard Grieg, Bergen is considered the cultural capital of Norway.

  • DAY 7 & 8: CRUISE / AT SEA

    B L D
  • DAY 9: CRUISE - AKUREYRI, ICELAND

    B L D

Iceland is a place of delightful contradictions where flowers flourish amid ice and snow. Some of nature's most powerful antics, from active volcanoes to geothermal phenomena, exist only a few miles from charming towns and major cultural centers. For those in search of the unexpected, the surprises begin in Akureyri — Iceland's second-largest city.

  • DAY 10: CRUISE / SCENIC CRUISING EYJAFIJORDUR

    B L D

The magnificent Eyjafjörður is the longest fjord in Iceland. Situated at the edge of the Arctic Circle, the fjord lies on the migratory routes of many species of whales and birds so it's the perfect place to observe fascinating wildlife in their natural habitat. The Eyjafjörður is narrow, so during a scenic cruise through the fjord, you'll get closer to the stunning natural landscapes, creating incredible photo opportunities.

  • DAY 11: CRUISE / ISAFIORDUR, ICELAND

    B L D

Iceland, the second largest island in Europe, is a natural wonder of active volcanoes, glaciers, fjords, desert plateaus, and a midnight sun. The air is startlingly clean, and ideal for communing with nature, Iceland style -- fjord fishing, river rafting and whale watching. On its north-western peninsula, the rock formations that make up the fjords date back 14 million years. And some of the country's oldest and best-preserved buildings remain in this former trading post.

  • DAY 12 & 13: CRUISE / REYKJAVI, ICELAND

Reykjavik is the gateway to Iceland's stunning natural wonders, which range from ice fields to boiling thermal pools. The landscape on the island seems to be in a continual process of transformation much like its society, which blends Nordic tradition with sophisticated technology.

  • DAY 14: CRUISE / AT SEA

    B L D
  • DAY 15: CRUISE / PRINCE CHRISTIAN SUN

    B L D

Today we will cruise through “The Prince Christian Sound”, a channel which separates the mainland of Greenland with the Sangmissoq and other islands of the Cape Farewell Archipelago near the southernmost tip of Greenland.

  • DAY 16: CRUISE / QAQORTOQ, GREENLAND

    B L D

On the southern coast you will find Qaqortoq, the only part of Greenland that really is green and not covered with a 5,000-foot-thick sheet of ice, and learn how people survive on this immense, remote island administered by the Danes but desperate for individual recognition of its distinctive culture.

  • DAY 17: CRUISE / NANORTALIK, GREENLAND

    B L D

Nanortalik is a town in the Kujalleq municipality in southern Greenland. With 1,337 inhabitants in 2013, it is the tenth-largest town in the country. The name Nanortalik means "Place of Polar Bears" or "Place Where the Polar Bears Go".

  • DAY 18: CRUISE / AT SEA

    B L D
  • DAY 19: CRUISE / ST JOHNS, NEWFOUNDLAND, CANADA

    B L D

The capital of Newfoundland occupies a spectacular site on one of the finest natural harbors in the world. Entered through "the Narrows", a 200-meter-wide passage flanked by cliffs, the harbor widens out into a protected basin. The city is undisputedly the oldest "European" town in North America, and from about 1500, the harbor was used as a base by fishing vessels from various countries.

  • DAY 20: CRUISE / AT SEA

    B L D
  • DAY 21: CRUISE / HALIFAX, NOVA SCOTIA, CANADA
