Day 1: ARRIVE ROMED
A private car will pick-you up from home and transfer you to the airport for your pre-arranged flights (flights not included in the price). Welcome to Rome! On arrival at the Rome’s International airport you will be met by your Tour Director and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure. This evening dinner is at Marzapane, the menu “Il gironrdei Golosi” with matching wine.

Day 2: ROME SIGHTSEEINGB L
This morning visit the Papal Palace of Castel Gandolfo. Afterwards, enjoy a guided tour of Barberini Gardens and Antiquariu, Villa Barberini and the Apostolic Palace. Lunch is at La Locanda dello Spuntino where you’ll enjoy a three course menu with matching wines. After lunch, you are transferred back to the city where your evening is free for you to enjoy Rome at your leisure
Day 3: APPIA, VIGNA RANDANINI CATACOMBSB L
This morning, travel to Appia, where you see and walk on the ancient road. Continue on to the Protestant Cemetery where Keats and Shelly are buried. We also see the Pyramid of Cestius. Lunch today will be at Sora Maria e Arcangelo with a tasting menu and matching wines. After lunch there’s time to stroll around town before heading back to Rome where this evening is free.

Day 5: ROME – SARDINIAB D
This morning, transfer to the airport where you join your flight to Olbia on Sardinia. Time permitting, on arrival you will be transferred to the town centre where there is time to explore before checking into your hotel for a four night stay. Tonight, dinner is at the hotel.

Day 6: SARDINIA SIGHTSEEINGB D
Depart the hotel this morning to see some of the ancient sights of the area. First the Tomba dei Gigantic (Tomb of the Giants). Then onto Complesso Nuragico di lu Brandali for a guided tour before continuing to Capo Testa to see the amazing Headland rock formation. Finally see Torre di Longosardo and if time permits, a visit to the village of Pula.
This afternoon visit Vigne Surrau Winery for a guided tour and tasting with nibbles. We then return to the hotel where the rest of the afternoon is at leisure. This evening, enjoy a cocktail (glass of prosecco, beer, soft drink) before savouring a local menu with matching wines at the Aqua Lounge at the yacht club.
Day 7: EXPLORE ALGHEROB L
This morning, we depart for Alghero. Encircled by ancient walls, it’s known for its cobblestoned old center. Its Catalan Gothic buildings include the Cattedrale di Santa Maria, with an imposing bell tower, Palazzo Guillot and Chiesa di San Francesco, a 14th-century church. After some time to explore, sit down to a delicious lunch at Azienda Agrituristica sa Mandra in Alghero. After lunch, travel back to the hotel, where the rest of the day is at leisure.
Day 8: SASSARIB L
Depart the hotel and travel to Sassari where the Sassari Festival is being held. Enjoy some time exploring the town and street shows before meeting for lunch at Ristorante L’antico Hostaria where we’ll savour a meal with matching wines. After lunch, enjoy the parades and music at the hippodrome before returning to the hotel.
Day 9: SARDINIA - PERUGIAB D
We depart Sardinia this morning and fly back to the mainland where you’ll join your coach to travel to Perugia. On arrival, join us for dinner with matching wines at restaurant Il Federico da Montefeltro.

Day 10: NORCIAB L
This morning, we leave for Norcia. The area is known for its scenery and is also widely known for sausages and ham made from wild boar and pork. Such products have been named after Norcia; in Italian, they are called norcineria. There’s time to explore the town and food shops and we enjoy a delicious lunch of local flavours with matching wines, at Hotel Grotta. After lunch, we stop in Assisi where there’s time to explore the town before heading back to the hotel, where the evening is free.
Day 11: EXPLORE GUBBIOB L
Morning free to explore the town and visit the Roman Theatre before sitting down to lunch at Villa Dama Farm. You will enjoy some local specialities along with matching wine. Returning to the hotel where this evening is free.
Day 12: AREZZO, FLORENCEB L
Today we depart Umbria and travel north, stopping first in Arezzo, where the film ‘A Beautiful Life’ with Roberto Bellini was filmed. With a local guide, explore the town, before sitting down for lunch at Antica Osteria L’Agania. After lunch, continue to Florence where the evening is at leisure.

Day 13: FLORENCE SIGHTSEEINGB
Join a cooking class today. First, enjoy a visit to the farmer’s market with your chef. Shop for fresh, high quality ingredients and discover excellent traditional Italian produce. Then it’s onto the cooking school to learn the secrets from the source. The rest of the day is at leisure. This evening attend a play in English by Marisa Garreffa – Medici Dynasty which will be followed by a light meal and local Tuscan wine
Day 14: CHIANTI GREVEB
After a leisurely start, depart for Chianti Greve. Visit first Macelleria Falorni to taste the local smallgoods and wines. Then drive to Chianti Radda where there’s time to explore the town. Later this afternoon, partake in a wine tasting at Accademia del Buon Gusto. This evening dinner is at Antica Macceleria Cecchini.
Day 15: LARI CHERRY FESTIVALB
A free morning to enjoy the sights of Florence at your leisure. This afternoon, travel first to Pisa and view the famous Leaning Tower before continuing to Lari for the Cherry Festival. There’s plenty of time to explore the stalls and festivities and perhaps indulge in some of the cherry delights on offer from the various stalls. We leave around 10pm and return to Florence.
Day 16: FLORENCE FREE DAYB
Today is free to explore Florence.
Day 17: FLORENCE SIGHTSEEINGB D
Your tour will begin at the Palazzo Vecchio, where you’ll join up with your guide before heading to the Uffizi Gallery; one of the most famous museums in the world given the rich amount of unique artworks and masterpieces conserved within its walls, the majority from the Renaissance period. Your tour will conclude near the Boboli Gardens, home to a collection of sculptures dating from the 16th through the 18th centuries, with some Roman antiquities. The rest of the day is free. This evening, dinner is at Il Profeta for a special menu with matching wines, mineral water, tea and coffee.
Day 18: Day 18B L
This morning, leave for Caiarossa Winery for a tour with the Oenologist followed by a tasting over lunch at a nearby restaurant. After lunch, we stop at San Gimignamo before travelling back to Florence where the evening is at leisure.
Day 19: MONTEPULCINO, SATURINAB L
We leave Florence this morning and stop in Montepulcino. This medieval hill top town is renowned for its pork, cheese, "pici" pasta, lentils, and honey, as well as its world-famous wine. Connoisseurs consider its Vino Nobile among Italy’s best. We stop here for lunch at la Grotta restaurant where we sample a tasting menu with matching wines. We continue to our hotel in Saturina where the rest of the day is free.

Day 20: SATURINA SIGHTSEEING / FAREWELL DINNERB D
This morning we visit the town of Saturina then stop at the thermal springs for those who want to immerse themselves. Enjoy a rest in the afternoon prior to tonight’s celebration dinner at the hotel.
Day 21: DEPART ROMEB
This morning you are transferred to the airport for your onward flight (flights not included). You may extend your stay in Europe or begin your journey home from here. On arrival in Perth, your driver will be waiting to transfer you home, ending a magnificent, once in a lifetime holiday.
