Spring Gardens Tour – Hunter Valley Gardens, Leura Garden Festival & The Canberra Floriade

  • Day 1: PERTH > SYDNEY > HUNTER VALLEY

    Your holiday begins when you are picked up from home by a private vehicle and transferred to the airport.  Meet your Kings Tour Manager and fellow passengers and fly to Sydney. Upon our arrival in Sydney we will transfer to the Hunter Valley and enjoy supper together.

    Hotel:   Harrigans Irish Pub for 2 nights

     

  • Day 2: HUNTER VALLEY TOURING

    After breakfast, spend most of the day in the stunning Hunter Valley Gardens. Take the time to explore each garden before enjoying a light lunch in the garden’s café, leaving room for our afternoon of sampling delicious cheeses from the Hunter Valley Cheese Company and a visit to the Hunter Valley Chocolate Company. We return to our accommodation after a great day of touring.

  • Day 3: HUNTER VALLEY > BLUE MOUNTAINS

    This morning, head south to the Blue Mountains. We travel to Mount Tomah where we visit the stunningly beautiful Blue Mountains Botanic Garden. Here we enjoy a guided walking tour followed by lunch. From here we visit the Victory Theatre Antique Centre in Blackheath. Next, we
    take the scenic Cliff Drive to Echo Point and the Three Sisters at Katoomba where we stop for a photo opportunity, then continue through to our accommodation where we have time to unpack before dinner in the hotel.

  • Day 4: LEURA GARDEN FESTIVAL

    Today we have a full day enjoying the Leura Garden Festival.  Our first visit is to Bygone Beautys where we enjoy morning tea.  Leaving Bygone Beautys we will endeavour to visit the open gardens of the festival as there is not just one garden.  You will have time at leisure to enjoy the festivities, markets and to purchase lunch.  Last but not least, we visit the Everglades Gardens, which is one of the most important historic gardens in Australia.  After a sensational day we return to our hotel and enjoy dinner.

  • Day 5: BLUE MOUNTAINS > CANBERRA

    Take a trip down memory lane this morning as we visit Faulconbridge the former home and gallery of Norman Lindsay.  From here we head down the mountain to Penrith for lunch at the Penrith RSL Club before continuing on to Canberra.

  • Day 6: CANBERRA FLORIADE FESTIVAL

    You’ll get a feel for Canberra this morning with a trip to the lookout at Mount Ainslie. You have the entire morning to enjoy this abundance of bloom and beauty. This afternoon we travel the short distance to the Australian War Memorial. We stay to hear the Last Post and closing ceremony, then return to the hotel in time to freshen up for dinner.

  • Day 7: CANBERRA SIGHTS

    After breakfast we take a scenic drive around the Embassy district before our visit to Parliament House. From here we head to the National Museum of Australia where we have time to purchase lunch (own expense) before our tour.  This afternoon we make our way to Tulip Top Gardens.  We have the rest of the afternoon to explore the 10 acre garden of magnificent tulips, daffodils, and other spring flowers before heading back to the hotel for dinner.

  • Day 8: CANBERRA SIGHTS & DINNER CRUISE

    This morning we visit the National Portrait Gallery.  From here we stop to enjoy our lunch at the George Harcourt Inn before visiting the famous Cockington Green Gardens.  Time to enjoy our final night in Canberra on-board the Southern Cross Dinner Cruise.

  • Day 9: CANBERRA > PERTH

    After a holiday full of flowers, gardens and festivities, it’s time to check out of the hotel and begin our journey home.  Upon arrival in Perth, your driver will be waiting to transfer you home, leaving you with many wonderful memories.

Including the Hunter Valley Gardens, Leura Garden Festival and Canberra’s Floriade this is a Spring Spectacular not to be missed!
