Upon our arrival into Sydney we will transfer through to our accommodation in Suttons Forest staying at the beautiful Peppers Manor House.
Hotel: Peppers Manor House, Sutton Forest 4 nights
Day 2: HISTORY AND GARDENSB L D
After breakfast we travel to Berrima, one of the best remaining examples of a small Australian town of the 1830s and enjoy some time to wander the quaint township. Returning to Sutton Forest we escape to the tranquillity and beautiful scenery of Eling Forest Winery. Sit back and relax as we taste the cool climate wine and enjoy our lunch in the stunning country style landscape. We complete our day amongst the enchanting gardens at Red Cow Farm. Garden lovers have such an amazing choice with a cottage garden, a walled garden, a vegetable garden, an orchard and woodland all on display.
Day 3: EXPLORING THE AREAB L D
Today we travel to Bowral which is a pretty village nestled in the shadow of Mount Gibraltar. We have time to visit the Bradman International Cricket Hall of Fame. The museum contains historical objects, photographs and film footage relating to cricket in Australia, in addition to sporting memorabilia relating to the sport as a whole and to Sir Don himself. From here we visit Moidart Garden which is arguably the best garden in the region. Another stunning property in the Southern Highlands is Peppers Craigieburn; we relax here whilst savouring the intricate flavours of a classic country High Tea. Later today we visit Chinoiserie Garden in Mittagong. This garden features a spring time display of over 100 varieties of peonies - Chinese, Japanese, European and American Tree Peonies and herbaceous borders which flower from spring through to late autumn.
Day 4: FITZROY FALLS AND KANGAROO VALLEYB D
This morning we can appreciate the beauty of this area as we travel through Moss Vale to the little village of Burrawang, before we reach the exciting Illawarra Fly Tree Top Walk. There is some walking involved but the views over the treetops and down the Illawarra coastline are magnificent. Further on we come to the Fitzroy Falls Visitors Centre, located in the middle of the cool rainforest of the Moreton National Park. We’ll enjoy a walk along the boardwalk through restored native bushland to a lookout at the top of the Fitzroy Falls. We have some time to purchase a light lunch before we spend time this afternoon in the picturesque Kangaroo Valley. We take in the scenery as we go over the historic Hamden Bridge, Australia's last surviving wooden suspension bridge which has a special design with gothic Victorian sandstone towers that make it look like the entrance to a secret medieval castle. We make a time to meet to return to the Manor for our final night on tour.
