  • Day 1: PERTH TO NEGOMBO

    IFM

    Your holiday begins when you are picked up from home by a private vehicle and transferred to the airport. Meet your fellow passengers and Kings Tour Manager then fly to Colombo. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to the hotel in Negombo.

    Hotel: Jetwing Lagoon for 2 nights

  • Day 2: NEGOMBO

    This morning you will have a leisurely start before embarking on a city sights tour of Negombo.  Everything in Negombo is best at night so be ready for a feast and to enjoy the city nightlife

  • Day 3: NEGOMBO TO PINNAWALA ONTO KANDALAMA

    After breakfast at the hotel, proceed to Pinnawala and visit the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. As you enter the 25 acre coconut property, do not be surprised to witness baby elephants being bottle fed or moving around freely causing absolutely no harm to anyone. It is rightly a sincere sight to observe how these gentle giants - orphaned and sometimes three-legged - are taken care of since 1975 at Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. From here we proceed to Kandalama and check into the hotel.

  • Day 4: ANURADHAPURA

    After breakfast you will proceed on Anuradhapura City Tour. Commanding on a rich Sri Lankan heritage, Anuradhapura is one of the greatest and oldest civilizations in the world. Stroll through the sacred trails of the venerated city to adore the legacy that interweaves Ruwanweliseya - the gigantic dagoba resting alongside the Basawakkulama Tank. Shading the Samadhi Buddha Statue & Isurumuniya Rock Temple that empower the culture, heritage and supremacy of arguably the strongest kingdom in Sri Lankan history. This afternnon we return to the hotel.

  • Day 5: POLONNARUWA / MINNERIYA

    After breakfast at the hotel, proceed to Polonnaruwa and explore the ancient city. After our tour we proceed to Minneriya and enjoy a wild life safari.

  • Day 6: KANDALAMA - SIGIRIYA - HIRIWADUNA - KANDALAMA

    After breakfast, proceed to Sigirya and climb the rock fortress. The 5th century rock citadel of King Kasyapa and World Heritage Site. Sigiriya doesn't only boast ancient Sri Lankan engineering & urban planning supremacy but also acclaims to be one of the finest monuments of art & culture. Next we proceed to Habarana to experience the Hiriwaduna trek.

  • Day 7: KANDALAMA TO PERADENIYA ONTO KANDY

    Today we leave Kandalama and proceed to Peradeniya and visit the Botanical Gardens. This afternoon will be at leisure before we proceed to Kandy for a cultural show.

  • Day 8: KANDY

    B

    After Breakfast we enjoy a cooking demonstration. You will visit the markets first to get all the fresh produce needed for a typical Sri Lankan dish. From here we will embark on a city sightseeing tour of Kandy. Late afternoon return to the hotel where your evening will be at leisure.

  • Day 9: KANDY – PERADENIYA – NANU OYA – NUWARA ELIYA

    After Breakfast proceed to Peradeniya Station and board the train to proceed to Nanu Oya. Enjoy the picturesque journey from your observation carriage, the train snaking its way through the mountains in the tea country. Wander through the trails of British colonial era with buildings ranging from Georgian to Queen.

    Hotel: Grand Hotel for 2 nights

  • Day 10: NUWARA ELIYA

    This morning embark on a city sights tour of Nuwara Eliya including a visit to the tea plantations to see the process involved in making the perfect cup of tea.

  • Day 11: NUWARA ELIYA – ELLA - YALA

    After breakfast proceed to Ella and visit Ravana Falls. Upon completion, proceed to Yala and check in to your hotel.

  • Day 12: YALA

    This morning will be spent at leisure. In the afternoon we head out for an afternoon wildlife safari.

  • Day 13: YALA TO GALLE

    Today we leave Yala and head to Galle. On arrival into Galle we enjoy a city sights tour. From here we head to the hotel and check in.

    Hotel: Amari Galle for 2 nights

  • Day 14: KOSGODA

    After breakfast head out to Kosgoda and visit the Turtle Hatchery. We head back to the hotel where the afternoon will be at leisure.

  • Day 15: GALLE TO COLOMBO

    Today wave goodbye to Galle and enjoy a city sights tour of Colombo. This afternoon will be left at leisure before enjoying dinner at the Cricket Club Café.

    Hotel: Galle Face Hotel for 1 night including late checkout

  • Day 16 & 17: COLOMBO TO PERTH

    Today has been left at leisure to enjoy how you wish (late checkout has been included at the hotel).  Tonight you will enjoy your final dinner as a group before we transfer you to the airport for your flight home to Perth. Upon arrival into Perth your driver will be waiting to take you home.

Sri Lanka is one of the worlds hidden gems.  Home to some of the oldest civilizations in the world.  Sri Lanka boasts stunning temples and monasteries, endless beaches, beautiful tea plantations, a vibrant rich culture and a mouth-watering cuisine. RICHARD ARNDT

Richard Arndt has been working in the hospitality and tourism sector for over 40 years. He presently works for Qantas as a Cabin Manager. He has been flying as Cabin Crew Internationally and domestically for the past 23 years. Richard was born and educated in Australia, but is also part of the Dutch Burgher minority of Sri Lanka.  His family came to Ceylon as part of the Dutch East India Company’s search for spices and trade in the 1700’s, and his family have been living on the island ever since. Richard is passionate about the Island dubbed “Serendipity” and has made countless trips exploring the length and breadth of Sri Lanka. He loves everything from the cuisine, local markets, beaches, history, people, art, architecture, fauna and flora that make Sri Lanka the most amazing and surprising county to explore.
