Your holiday begins when you are picked up from home and transferred to the airport in a private vehicle. Meet your Kings Tour Manager and fellow passengers then fly to Alice Springs. We arrive at Alice Springs Airport, where we will be greeted by our local touring coach and transferred to our accommodation for our first night in the Red Centre.
Hotel: Plaza Alice Springs Lasseters for 3 nights
We take in the sights of Alice Springs with a visit to ANZAC Hill for panoramic views of the town and the surrounding area. The Old Telegraph Station and the original Alice Springs is our next stop before the Royal Flying Doctor Base. Our afternoon will be spent immersing ourselves in the culture and heritage of Central Australia through visual and performing art at the Araluen Cultural Precinct. Learn about the Indigenous dreaming and discover the local identities that helped shape and develop Alice Springs.
We have a great day in store as we explore the majestic Western MacDonnell Ranges. After a stop at Simpsons Gap we head to the Hermannsburg Historic Precinct for morning tea and time to look through the restored buildings and various artworks on display. Grosse Bluff will give us marvellous views before our stop at Glen Helen Homestead where we admire the brilliant colours of the Glen Helen Gorge and enjoy lunch. Tonight we head to Earth Sanctuary – a World Nature Centre at Quandong Homestead to enjoy a mouth-watering bush BBQ, music and entertainment.
Departing Alice Springs today, our destination is Yulara. Keep an eye out for Mount Connor, often confused with Uluru due to its size but once we set eyes on Uluru you can certainly tell the difference. From the viewing area, we watch the changing colours on this magnificent monolith as the sun sets over the horizon. We enjoy this special experience before returning to the resort for dinner.

This morning we will be taken on a brief sightseeing tour stopping for photo opportunities along the way. We spend some time at the Cultural Centre where we learn about the ancient aboriginal culture and the role of Tjukurpa (creation stories and laws). From here, we head straight Kata Tjuta or place of many domes. We’ll take a walk through Walpa Gorge and enjoy our surrounds before returning to Yulara. This evening we have a unique outback experience dining under the twinkling outback sky. Our Sounds of Silence experience begins with canapes, sparkling wine and the sound of a didgeridoo as the sun sets in the spectacular Uluru Kata Tjuta National Park. We will be treated to a bush tucker inspired buffet incorporating native ingredients before we sit back and listen to a resident star talker to decode the night sky.
We enjoy free time to wander the town square of Yulara this morning before we transfer to the airport for our flight home to Perth. Upon arrival into Perth your driver will be waiting to take you safely home
