Hobart to Launceston
Reconnect with nature, wildlife and your taste buds on a trip to the impossibly beautiful island state of Tasmania.
A deposit of $400 pp is due to secure your booking. Final payment is due by 8 December 2023.
Tours are based on reaching a minimum number. Home pick-up and return is included based on a set radius – surcharges will apply outside these areas. Other special conditions may apply to each individual tour, please contact the office for further details.
All itineraries are subject to change due to occasional restrictions in opening times/days of some attractions, e.g. churches, wineries etc. We cannot be held responsible for any changes due to closures, inclement weather etc.
Your holiday begins when you are picked up from home and transferred to the airport in a private vehicle. Meet your Kings Tour Manager and fellow passengers then fly to Hobart. Upon arrival into Hobart we are transferred to our accommodation where we will spend the next 4 nights.
This morning we embark on a city sightseeing tour of Hobart and then head out to the top of Mt Wellington which is the summit of the Wellington range and is within the Wellington Park Reserve. With our visit here complete we head back into Hobart where we enjoy afternoon tea at Hadley’s Orient Hotel.
Today, we venture to the Tasman Peninsula, known for its natural wonders and rich history. Explore the Port Arthur Historic Site, take a guided walking tour, and have free time to explore and purchase lunch. You’ll also have free time to further explore the settlement or embark on a cruise around the harbour. Enjoy dinner at the hotel tonight.
Travel to the historic town of Richmond to see the oldest bridge in Australia. Explore the Old Hobart Town Model Village and visit the well-preserved Richmond Gaol. Enjoy some leisure time in the afternoon prior to dinner at the Point Revolving restaurant.
We say farewell to our hosts early this morning and begin our journey to Cradle Mountain stopping at Russell Falls and the Wall in the Wilderness. Enjoy a late lunch at the Wilderness Hotel and a comfort stop in Queenstown. On arrival in Cradle Mountain, we check in and enjoy a buffet dinner.

Today explore the breathtaking Cradle Mountain – Lake St Clair National Park with a guided tour and visit Dove Lake. Indulge in lunch at Cradle Mountain Hotel and then encounter Tasmanian devils at Devils @ Cradle. Returning to the hotel we will freshen up for dinner.
This morning we head towards the North Coast. We visit the township of Stanley, explore Emu Valley Rhododendron Gardens and visit Ashgrove Cheese Factory in Elizabeth Town. Experience the charming murals of Sheffield before arriving in Launceston for a leisurely evening at Hotel Grand Chancellor.

Discover the fascinating Platypus House and Seahorse World in Beauty Point. Enjoy lunch with waterfront views before returning to Launceston. Take in the beauty of Cataract Gorge and optionally ride the chairlift.
This morning we discover the secrets of the Tamar on a leisurely morning cruise with full commentary along the journey and morning tea. We have some free time this afternoon before we enjoy a light supper at the hotel before transferring to Launceston airport for our flight home to Perth. On arrival in Perth you driver will be waiting to take you safely home.
