Your holiday begins when you are picked up from home by private vehicle and transferred to the Perth International Airport. Meet your fellow passengers and Kings Tour Manager and board your flight to Mauritius. Upon arrival into Mauritius you will be transferred to your hotel.

After breakfast our first stop will be the Pamplemousses Royal Botanical Garden, which was established in 1769, and where one can find rare Mascarene plants and a wide variety of palm trees. You shall be accompanied by a guide for a nice visit along the shady paths of this magnificent garden. After the visit, continue to L’Aventure du Sucre (Sugar World), an old sugar mill at Beau Plan which has been transformed into a museum that records the history of sugar.
Today we venture to the capital, Port-Louis. Visit Apravasi Ghatt, a UNESCO World Heritage Site which hold the remains of an immigration depot, the site from where modern indentured labour Diaspora emerged. From here we stop for a photo at Fort Adelaide or La Citadelle and then enjoy some shopping time at the markets. You can also visit Le Caudan Waterfront, a unique commercial concept in Mauritius, showing undeniable know-how and expertise in commercial activities and entertainment. After a busy morning we head up into the mountains to the village of Moka to enjoy lunch.

Travel to Cap Malheureux for a photo stop and view. Cap Malheureux is a picturesque spot in northern Mauritius which is famous for its view of the Coin De Mire, the Chapel, fishing and boat rides. Proceed to Chateau Labourdonnais which is a holding farm in the tradition of the great landholdings in the country. Like the area, the restaurant “La Table du Chateau” seeks to extend the tradition and know-how of Labourdonnais in modernity and we indulge in lunch here and some rum tasting.
Today we check out of the Victoria Beachcomber Resort & Spa and travel to the west coast of the island and check into the Anelia. The rest of the afternoon will be at leisure before we enjoy dinner.

The southern part of Mauritius has kept most of its wild beauty and charm. Travel past the suburb of Floreal and drive towards Curepipe, one of the island’s main villages. As you reach the highest point in town, step down to see Trou aux Cerfs’ crater, a dormant volcano covered with lush vegetation, which also acts as a 360-degree lookout. Head towards the sacred lake of Grand-Bassin, a significant place of worship for Hindus in Mauritius. Further south, discover the spectacular Black River Gorges tucked in tropical greenery. Ascend down the winding road for commanding views over the southern coast. Arrive at La Rhumerie de Chamarel, a local rum distillery where the host will reveal all the secrets of fabrication. After lunch visit the colored earths of Chamarel and its waterfalls before continuing down the mountain and heading back for our hotel.
Today we are invited to share the creativity and now-how of the Mauritian cuisine. We head to Les Aubineaux Restaurant where their chef will teach you the art and how to prepare a typical Mauritian dish. After buying fresh local products at the “Bazaar” of Curepipe, you cook your meal using the utensils of yesteryear. Come and join the useful to the pleasant through this unique experience. This afternoon we visit a local tea factory.
After breakfast we embark on a Maheborg Tour. We will explore the National History Museum of Mahebourg offers a fascinating overview of the Naval and military history of the island. The exposed objects are divided in four different historical periods which covers the different colonies which occupied the island before the independence.
Today you have the day to explore how you wish. Tonight we enjoy our farewell dinner together.
The day will be at leisure until early evening we transfer you to Mauritius International Airport for your flight home to Perth. As your flight only takes off in the evening we have included late checkout for you on this day. Upon arrival into Perth your driver will be waiting to take you home.
