Your holiday begins when you are picked up from home by a private vehicle. You will be transferred to Kings Park where you will meet your Kings Tour Manager, fellow passengers and coach driver. Heading east out of Perth we stop at Tanglefoot Winery and enjoy morning tea. From here we head to Wickepin. On arrival we have time to explore the Homestead of Albert Facey. A visit to the Albert Facey Homestead gives a unique insight into the life of the author of `A Fortunate Life’ in the early 1900s. Facey lived with his family in this house until the Great Depression. As you wander through the rooms you will have the opportunity to see Facey’s own furniture and personal effects. The homestead forms part of the Albert Facey Heritage Trail that leads you through Wickepin and surrounding areas to discover more about the life of this literary genius. Allowing half a day to complete the drive will provide you with plenty of time to explore various significant places in Facey’s childhood. Before leaving for the next town of Wagin we enjoy a picnic lunch in the Park. On arrival in Wagin we view the giant ram and enjoy time to explore the historical village with afternoon tea and damper to end. Back onboard we head to the town of Katanning which is our final stop for the day. You will have some time to freshen up before enjoying our first dinner together.
