Based for seven nights at The Sunset, you’ll enjoy a relaxed yet enriching exploration of the island. Discover Christmas Island’s layered history and cultural influences, wander scenic boardwalks to secluded beaches, and visit tranquil rainforest waterfalls hidden deep within the national park. From seabird watching at ocean lookouts to learning about local conservation efforts, every day offers a deeper connection to this remarkable place.
A highlight of the journey is time spent along the coast — from the thunderous blowholes to Flying Fish Cove — including an unforgettable snorkelling experience over vibrant coral reefs alive with marine life. Gentle walks, picnic lunches, and plenty of downtime ensure the tour remains comfortable and unhurried, while shared meals at local restaurants and a beachside BBQ create a warm sense of camaraderie.
A non-refundable/non-transferable deposit is due within 7 days of making your booking to secure your place on the tour. This deposit confirms your reservation and constitutes acceptance of our full Terms and Conditions.

Home pick-up and return by private car is included within a designated radius. Surcharges will apply for addresses located outside this area — please contact our office to confirm if this applies to you.
All itineraries are subject to change due to occasional restrictions in opening times/days of attractions (e.g. churches, wineries), weather conditions, or other operational factors beyond our control. While we do our utmost to deliver the itinerary as planned, we cannot be held responsible for changes due to closures, delays, or unforeseen circumstances.
From time to time, and only when absolutely necessary, minor changes to the itinerary or pricing may be required prior to final payment. While your deposit guarantees your place on the tour, it does not lock in the final price if operational adjustments are needed. Should any changes arise, we will always communicate with you clearly and transparently, and we thank you for your understanding.

Fitness for the Tour
Christmas Island does not offer a lot of ‘soft touring’, i.e. places that are easy to visit or access. There are a few places, but these are easily covered in a day as you can drive directly to the point of interest. If you plan to have a few days or a week, best to ensure the people in your group have a good level of fitness (or are prepared to happily abstain from some touring to some locations).
The better places of natural interest do require a certain amount of walking, on boardwalks, or loose, rough surfaces. Some walking is required up hills or on steep inclines. People need to have good mobility, stability and flexibility for some of these locations. What might also be considered easy walking under normal conditions may become an issue in the humidity.
If people have joint, breathing or heart issues, these can become exacerbated in the hot and humid conditions. People need to make sure they have taken their medication or have it on them (inhaler) to use if they need to.
We highly encourage guests to bring their own walking sticks if they need them, otherwise we can provide walking sticks if needed. In some cases, we may insist people use a walking stick before they will be permitted to join a walk.
Most trail walks on Christmas Island would be considered Grade 5 in difficulty according to the Australian Walking Track Grading System. Grade 5 includes:

➢Steps
➢Inclines above a certain gradient
➢No seating or rest areas on many trails
➢Slippery muddy surfaces
➢No handrails or safety structures
