SINGAPORE CHRISTMAS LIGHTS

Explore the city by driving round the Civic District, passing by the Cricket Club, Little India, historic Parliament House, Supreme Court and City Hall. Proceed to Singapore’s first UNESCO World Heritage Site – the Singapore Botanic Gardens and walk through the National Orchid Garden which boasts a sprawling display of 60,000 orchid plants. After our walk through the gardens we will enjoy morning tea before heading back to the hotel. The remainder of the day will be at leisure.

This morning, we transfer to Gardens by the Bay where you will have free time to wander the various displays. Gardens by the Bay is home to over a quarter of a million rare plants. The entire park comprises of three gardens; Bay South, Bay East and Bay Central. Bay South, the largest waterfront garden, is where you’ll find the futuristic looking Supertrees, vertical gardens measuring up to 16 storeys that add a surprising and surreal feel to the landscape. The Conservatories, featuring the Cloud Forest and Flower Dome, are another key feature, offering reprieve from the tropical heat amidst flowers and lush vegetation. After an afternoon at leisure tonight we enjoy a night safari. It is the world’s first Night Safari*, set in 40 hectares of secondary jungle, will unfold the mystery and drama of the tropical jungle after dusk with stunning effects. See a myriad of nocturnal animals, from fierce predators to timid forest dwellers, in their natural habitat under subtle moonglow lighting. Enjoy dinner in a charmingly rustic setting at Ulu Ulu Safari Restaurant. After dinner, board the tram which takes you through the East and West Lop. Pass by a large reservoir and weave through selected habitats designed specifically to replicate the natural environment from the Himalayan Foothills to the Southeast Asian Rainforest and Indian Subcontinent. Let the guide take you on a walking trail to view some animals at close quarters. There will also be an opportunity to catch a 20mins animal extravaganza at the Creatures of the Night Show, subject to weather conditions. With our safari complete we return to the hotel.

Enjoy the morning at your leisure. This afternoon we take a bumboat cruise along Singapore River – the lifeline of Singapore where our first immigrants eked out a meagre living and saw Singapore transform from a little fishing village to a great seaport. Admire beautifully restored warehouses that now house chic quayside dining and entertainment spots and the contrasting skyscrapers of the Financial District. Reminiscent of extravagant parties that were once held in The Grand Lobby, The Raffles. Afternoon Tea is perfect for chic celebrations or a light repast with friends. Indulge in a luxurious experience in the restored Grand Lobby of the iconic Raffles Singapore. The grandeur of floor-to-ceiling Victorian pillars, bathed in soft daylight streaming through the skylight… It is a truly refined and unique destination for refreshments. Amidst this elegant setting, savour finger sandwiches, housemade scones and cakes, and seasonal delicacies – all complemented by a curated collection of exquisite teas. After High Tea, you may wish to take the opportunity to walk around the Raffles Hotel or be transferred back to the hotel.

We have left today ‘free’ so that you can enjoy Singapore as you wish. Tonight, we enjoy the Christmas Wonderland at Gardens by the Bay. Christmas Wonderland, Singapore’s biggest yuletide fair, was created to enthral visitors with a combination of magnificent sculptures of light and charming festive markets alongside carnival games. After enjoying the festivities, you will be transferred back to the hotel.

This morning after breakfast we catch a cable car ride from Mount Faber to the State of FUN – SENTOSA! Take in the amazing aerial views from Mount Faber, Harbourfront and arrive into Imbiah Lookout on Sentosa. Enjoy a 4D experience in Journey 2: The Mysterious Island as you join Sean and his friends flying through tornado, encounter giant lizards and discover the lost city of Atlantis. Discover the awe-inspiring world of life in the ocean at S.E.A. Aquarium™, the world’s largest aquarium. Explore more than 800 species of marine animals such as majestic manta rays and over 200 sharks through the world’s largest window to the ocean. Tonight we head to Lawry’s for dinner and see the Christmas Lights down Orchard Road. After we enjoy a Singapore Sling and the views of Singapore from the Singapore Flyer; Asia’s largest observation wheel.

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast followed by free time to do last minute shopping, sightseeing or relax by the pool. Mid-afternoon we transfer to the airport. Following check-in, you’ll have time to explore the ‘Jewel’. Upon arrival into Perth your driver will be waiting to take you home.
