MELBOURNE WINTER ESCAPE

After breakfast, the day is free to relax at the hotel, enjoy a quiet coffee nearby, or take a gentle stroll through Melbourne’s city centre — a welcome opportunity to rest before our afternoon performance. Late morning, we transfer to the iconic Princess Theatre for the matinee of A Beautiful Noise: The Neil Diamond Musical — a joyous celebration of the life and music of one of the world’s most beloved entertainers. Following the show, we return to the hotel to relax before gathering for a delightful dinner together this evening.

This morning, we explore some of Melbourne’s most significant historic landmarks. Begin with a guided tour of the
State Library of Victoria, one of Australia’s most beautiful heritage buildings. Highlights include the magnificent La
Trobe Reading Room beneath its iconic domed ceiling, along with stories that bring Melbourne’s early civic and cultural life to life. We then continue to the Old Melbourne Gaol, where a guided visit offers a fascinating glimpse into 19thcentury Melbourne. Hear compelling tales of the city’s early justice system and the lives of its most notorious inmates, including the legendary Ned Kelly. Following our touring, we head to Lygon Street, Melbourne’s famous
Italian precinct, for a relaxed lunch at an Italian Restaurant. The remainder of the afternoon and the evening is at your leisure.

This morning, we visit the National Gallery of Victoria for a warming Devonshire tea before exploring the NGV’s spectacular winter exhibition: CARTIER. Featuring more than 300 exquisite objects — from rare gemstones and precious jewels to iconic watches and historic timepieces — this landmark exhibition traces the evolution of Cartier’s artistry, craftsmanship and global legacy. Afterwards, enjoy free time for shopping, relaxing, or discovering Melbourne’s famous laneways. This evening, we gather for a memorable Farewell Dinner at Crown’s Conservatory Restaurant, a wonderful way to conclude your Melbourne getaway.

After breakfast and check-out, we enjoy a final cultural experience with a visit to the Immigration Museum, housed in the historic Old Customs House. Through engaging exhibitions and personal stories, the museum explores the journeys of people from around the world who have helped shape modern Australia. We then transfer to Melbourne Airport for our flight home, where your driver will be waiting to take you safely to your door.
